INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION [15.08.2024]

The Independence Day celebrations at Sandipani Vidyalaya was nothing short of a grand spectacle, one that will be remembered for years to come. The event commenced with the majestic tricolour flag hoisting by our beloved Principal Smt. Bhuvana Shankar making it a moment so powerful that it seemed to make the sky itself sparkle in patriotic fervour. This was followed by diverse cultural events with a dazzling display of talent and expertise, with the students performing a breathtaking Hindi skit that brilliantly brought the rich, vibrant cultures of all states to life.
The musical medley that followed was enchanting, with the students showcasing their talent through mellifluous voices, delivering songs that ricocheted the very soul of India. Every note and every chord struck the hearts of the audience, with its sheer beauty. Our Students’ delivered speeches in a multitude of languages, each one celebrating India's linguistic brilliance in an awe-inspiring manner.
The chief guest took the stage, addressing the gathering with a speech that reverberated deeply with one and all present on the occasion. His words were filled with wisdom and pride, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our forefathers for India's independence and urging the young generation to uphold the values that our freedom fighters had fought for.
Then came the performances by the SASTRA University, an act that left everyone spellbound. And at the end of the programme, the Director of the SASTRA University delivered a motivating speech, with words so profound and powerful. The event concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and a commitment to nation-building, as everyone left with their hearts full of pride and determination to contribute to India’s bright future.

NAVARATRI CELEBRATION [03.10.2024-12.10.2024]

The Navaratri celebrations this year were an extraordinary spectacle of devotion and festivity! The Golu display was so grand, it felt as though the divine figurines were brought to life, shimmering with an ethereal glow. The decorations were so exquisite, they transformed the space into a scene of pure beauty. Daily poojas were performed to invoke the blessings of Goddesses Saraswathi, Durga and Lakshmi, with each day growing more spiritually charged, creating an atmosphere of awe and devotion.
Each class was allotted a day to showcase their talents, and what they delivered was beyond one’s expectations! Our students performed the traditional garba and dandiya with such fervent and grace, the entire place buzzed with excitement. Their chanting of slokhas reverberated through the halls like divine mantras and in contrast, classical songs and bhajans were rendered with such melodious perfection.
Every performance captured the true essence of the festival, making it an unforgettable experience.
As per the tradition and a mark of respect and gratitude, thamboolam was distributed to all the guests who graced the occasion. The meticulously arranged offerings were a perfect conclusion to the divine experience, sending everyone home with blessings and an everlasting effect on them the extraordinary celebration they had just witnessed.

SHIKSHA SAMSKAR [21.08.2024]

On the 21st of August, 2024 the school marked its 3rd annual day with a celebration that was both amazing and impressive. The event was honoured by the august presence of our esteemed chief guest and the Vice-Chancellor, whose attendance accentuated the significance of the occ asion. The theme for this year’s celebration was 'Bhimbam,' a concept that was explored with impressive depth and creativity. The event commenced with a entrancing rendition of Maithreem Bajatha, a prayer song performed with such precision and synchronization that it set a serene and reflective tone for the proceedings. Following the prayer, a song dedicated to the theme of Bhimbam was performed, contributing a lyrical exploration of the theme’s profound significance. The invocation dance that succeeded the song was performed with grace and elegance, vibrantly transporting to life, the essence of Bhimbam through expressive movements. The highlight of the celebration was undoubtedly the Iyal Isai Nadagam, a theatrical performance divided into eight acts, each exploring different facets of Bhimbam. The first act featured a creative fusion of Mayabazaar with Snow White, blending traditional and contemporary elements in a unique lenovo narrative. The second act delved into the origin of Chitragupta, the 'Art Bhimbam,' whose presence within the mind was portrayed with great insight. In the third act, Ullam Urugudhaiya, the narrative centred around a sculptor who, despite loss of his eyesight and thumbs which are the essential for carving, dedicated himself to crafting three identical Muruga sculptures—an inspiring representation of unwavering devotion. The fourth act, Kalile Kalaivanam Kandan, followed Paranjothi on his quest to fulfil his master's dream, unravelling the hidden secrets of ancient masterpieces and challenging conventional understandings of religious Bhimbams. The fifth act, Sathyam Sivam Sundaram, presented the revered story of Amarnath, while the sixth act, Mukunda Mukunda, explored the sacred relationship between Shaligram and Tulasi. The seventh act, Ponappan Allava Ponamballathava, addressed the concept of the formless Bhimbam—Shivam, transcending the physical form of Shiva, and was presented with thought-provoking depth. The eighth act, Boom Boom Robo Da, offered a forward-looking vision, depicting the school’s innovation hub and its potential to shape the future. This act culminated in the grand finale, which introduced the seven types of inner Bhimbam: Chithra Bhimbam, Shakti Bhimbam, Prathi Bhimbam, Kumbaga Bhimbam, Nizhal Bhimbam, Nagal Bhimbam, and Paramanu Bhimbam. Each of these was depicted with alacrity and creativity, leaving an ever lasting impression on the audience. The entire programme was executed with remarkable professionalism by Vikram and Vedal, whose performances were pivotal in conveying the intricate narrative. As the programme concluded, the honourable Vice-Chancellor expressed his admiration for the event, lauding the students and the officials for their exceptional work. He also pledged to reimburse the cost of the costumes through a donation of books, a gesture that was met with appreciation. The chief guest echoed these sentiments, offering further praise for the performances and the organisation of the event.

YOGA DAY [21.06.2024]

"The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life." This quote perfectly encapsulates the spirit that resonated at Sandipani Vidyalaya on 21st of June 2024
The school witnessed an extraordinary celebration of International Yoga Day and World Music Day, marked by a stimulating display of student enthusiasm and talent.
The day began with an invocation song, aptly setting the tone for a serene and sensible celebration. This was followed by a series of remarkable yoga demonstrations that captivated the audience. Students performed a variety of asanas with precision and elegance. In keeping with the theme of women's empowerment, the girls of Sandipani Vidyalaya presented an exceptional display of yogasanas, embodying both strength and tranquillity. Their synchronised movements vibrantly portrayed the concept of Shiva and Shakti, representing the duality of nature. 
Distinguished guests, Dr. Vasanth Kumar, the Chief Guest, and Smt. Nirmala Narasimhan, the Guest of Honour, addressed the gathering. They delivered inspiring speeches on the significance of holistic education, stressing the role of yoga and music in nurturing a balanced and harmonious life.
The students also spoke passionately about the benefits of yoga and the significance of music, reflecting on how these practices have confidently influenced the lives.
The celebrations continued with a pulsating music and dance performance. A team of students sang while another team danced to their melodious songs, fashioning a fascinating spectacle. The synergy between the singers and dancers was profound, embodying the theme of World Peace and Unity.  
This vibrant confluence of cultural expression and physical prowess blossomed into a orchestration of unity. It served as a powerful emblem of Sandipani Vidyalaya's everlasting commitment to nurture holistic progress of individuals who find peace within and champion harmony in the world.

Orientation [06.04.2024]

The much awaited and anticipated orientation session for students of classes 9 and 11 was unfolded on April 6th, 2024, with an air of enthusiasm and expectation. The event commenced with a soul stirring invocation song performed by the school choir, whose melodious rendition set a harmonious tone for the event.
Taking the podium with gravitas, the Principal commenced the session by expounding the foundational pillars of the school's mission, vision, and philosophy. With eloquent precision, the Principal delineated the school's core values of integrity, inclusivity, and academic excellence, nurturing a sense of purpose and direction among all the stakeholders.
Following this, an exhaustive discussion on the language policy ensued, emphasising the importance of learning more languages and proficiency in languages among students.
The Principal then shifted towards the imperative of competency-based education, by accentuating the significance of equipping students with practical skills and aptitudes necessary for navigating the intricacies of the modern world. Embracing a forward-thinking approach, strategies were outlined to ensure that students emerge as responsive and adaptable learners, confident to excel in diverse spheres of life, thus symbolising the values of adaptability and innovation.
Amidst ardent deliberations, the Principal elucidated strategies aimed towards bridging the gap in academic learning, thus preparing students for the demands of an ever-evolving educational landscape. 
In a rousing address, the venerable Vice Chancellor, Dr. S Vaidhyasubramaniam resonated the school's ethos of academic excellence and the motive of Sandipani Vidyalaya. Stressing the paramount importance of skill development, the VC assured students, of the institution's dedication to nurture their talents and aspirations, exemplifying the value of empowerment.
In the spirit of generosity and with best interests at heart for students, plans were unveiled for providing free coaching for competitive examinations such as NEET and JEE. These initiatives underscored the institution's commitment to meritocracy and excellence, with scholarships specifically allocated for students who demonstrate respect for values and cultural heritage, affirming the importance of nurturing a community.
As the event drew to a close, the students departed with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, encouraged by the promise of a transformative educational odyssey ahead. With hearts brimming with ambition and minds ablaze with possibility, they eagerly embraced the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead on the horizon, poised to embark on a trajectory of personal and intellectual growth, guided by the lasting values instilled by their educational institution.

Shiksha Samskar [29.03.2024]

Amidst a sea of elation and happiness, our school’s Annual Day unfolded its opulence on the 29th of March 2024, enveloped in the resonating theme, "Akhand Bharat to Amrit Kaal." It was a commemoration of unity, culture and academic prowess that left an indelible impression on every heart that was present.
As all things commence with the blessings of the Almighty, the event began with a serene invocation song, setting the perfect ambience for the evening. Graced by the esteemed presence Shri Dr. Prabhakar Narayanan as the Chief Guest and presided over by our revered Vice Chancellor, Shri. Dr. Prof. S. Vaidhyasubramaniam the evening promised to be nothing short of extraordinary. 
The Principal extended a gracious welcome address, setting the stage for the unfolding festivities. Anticipation mounted as the meticulously and intricately curated annual report took centre stage through an immersive video presentation which offered a comprehensive account of our school's achievements and milestones over the past year.
As the curtains rose, the stage came alive with a kaleidoscope of cultural expressions. A spellbinding Bharatham melody echoed through the hall, stirring emotions and invoking a sense of pride in our heritage. This was followed by a dance drama that seamlessly narrated the journey from 'Akhand Bharat' to the 'Amrit Kaal,' captivating the audience with its powerful rendering.

The performances, a testimony to the talent and dedication of our students, left everyone awe-struck.  Each step, each note resonated with passion and commitment, reflecting months of arduous practice and unwavering determination. Following the cultural extravaganza, our venerable Vice Chancellor took the stage to address the gathering, inspiring us with his words of wisdom and encouragement. His vision for the future filled us with hope and determination, kindling a spark of ambition within each one of us.
Followed by this, our honourable Chief Guest shared his insights, lauding the school for its commitment to holistic approach towards education and congratulating the students for their remarkable achievements.
The pinnacle of the evening arrived with the presentation of awards. General proficiency and academic excellence were recognized and rewarded, honouring the dedication and hard work put in by our students throughout the academic year (2023-2024). In addition, cash prizes were bequeathed upon the winners of the Thirupavvai and Pongal competitions, celebrating not just academic excellence but cultural participation and familial bonds too. In a gesture that truly exemplified the spirit of our institution, the honourable Vice Chancellor announced the reimbursement of costume costs, allowing students to convert their expenses into the currency of knowledge by investing in books—a genuine gesture that was met with resounding applause and gratitude from all the stakeholders.
As the event neared its conclusion, the vote of thanks was delivered and the national anthem filled the air, serving as a moving reminder of our shared aspirations and collective pride.
The Annual Day of 2024 wasn’t just an event. it was a celebration of culture, talent, and academic excellence—a demonstration of the spirit of our school and the bright future that lies ahead. As we bid adieu to yet another memorable evening, we carry with us the memories and lessons learned, inspired to strive for greatness and pursue our dreams.

SASTRA RAMANUJAN QUIZ [19.01.2024]

On January 19, 2024, the Vidyalaya hosted the SASTRA Ramanujan Quiz, a captivating exploration into the life and contributions of the legendary mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. The competition brought together 24 schools from across the city, with teams comprising students from classes 6 to 12 with each school forming a maximum of three teams of two participants in each team. Guided by the expertise of Dr. Sumanth C Raman as the quiz master. The quiz, split into a preliminary and final round.

Six outstanding teams emerged from the prelims, advancing to the final round, where they engaged in a spirited competition that celebrated the legacy of one of the greatest mathematicians in history.

In a thrilling climax, the youngest team among the finalists claimed the first prize, earning a cash reward of 25,000. Acknowledging the achievements of the second and third-placed teams, they were awarded cash prizes of 15,000 and 10,000, respectively. The recognition extended beyond the participants, as each winning team's school received library grants in parallel with the cash prizes – 25,000 for the first prize, 15,000 for the second prize, and 10,000 for the third prize. These grants signify not only the celebration of academic excellence but also a commitment in enhancing educational resources within the school community.

The SASTRA Ramanujan Quiz provided a platform for students to delve into the intricacies of Ramanujan's life, fostering a deeper appreciation for mathematics and inspiring a new generation of mathematical enthusiasts. The cash prizes and library grants serve as tangible rewards, encouraging ongoing dedication to mathematical pursuits and further emphasising the importance of recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievements in the field of mathematics. The event left a lasting impact on both participants and spectators, fostering a sense of admiration for the extraordinary life and work of Ramanujan.

SANJOSH'23 [19.01.2024 and 20.01.2024]

In a dazzling debut, the school orchestrated its first-ever intercultural fest SANJOSH, igniting the cultural scene with a colossal bang and bash on the 19th and 20th of January. The event drew myriad schools from diverse corners of the city to partake in the two-day extravaganza. The inaugural day commenced with an invigorating invocation song, followed by a gracious welcome address. Mrs. Suchithra Balasubramaniam, a distinguished figure, adorned the event as the chief guest.

The cultural canvas unfolded with a cascade of competitions, each a masterpiece in its own right. The soulful solos of 'Sargam' resonated through the air, harmonising with the symphonies of group singing in 'Music Express.' The whimsical realm of meme creation came to life in the 'Meme-a-thon,' while participants painted vivid expressions in 'Varna Bhaavam,' crafted celestial wonders in 'Alankritham,' captured fleeting moments in 'Shutter Fest,' explored entrepreneurial dreams in 'Start-Up Spark,' and crafted cinematic wonders in 'Reelify.'

The second day unfurled a spectacular saga, with captivating street plays, enchanting Gungroo solo and group dances, and an intellectually charged 'Counsel Connect.' Adjudicating over this cultural splendour were judges of eminence, each an expert in their field, infusing the events with an aura of distinction.

The climax of the festivity crescendoed with the heart-pounding Shipwreck finale, where the winners of the flagged events competed for ultimate glory.

The grand valedictory function commenced with a soulful rendition of the invocation song, creating a symphony of emotions. In the spectacular culmination of the grand finale, the victors of the riveting Shipwreck competition were bestowed the prestigious titles of Yuvan Sanjosh and Yuvathi Sanjosh, anointing them as the epitome of excellence. The zenith of triumph arrived as the school with the highest points clinched the Grand Champion Trophy, leaving an indelible mark on the cultural landscape.

The resounding success of the event resonates to the school's commitment to foster creativity, diversity and the pursuit of excellence. As the curtain falls on this extraordinary celebration, the memories forged and the triumphs achieved will linger as a source of inspiration for all those who participated, making the school's debut intercultural fest an unforgettable chapter in its history.

Pongal Celebration [12-01-2024]

The Pongal extravaganza at Sandipani Vidyalaya burst into life with a soul-stirring school prayer, awakening the festive spirits of everyone present. As the sun painted the sky with hues of warmth, the stage was set for a day, brimming with cultural vibrancy and celebration of Tamil Nadu's cherished Harvest festival, Pongal.

In the spirit of unity, dynamic teams formed, consisting of not just students but also their enthusiastic parents - a fusion of youthful exuberance and seasoned expertise. The highlight competitions of flameless cooking and rangoli unfolded, transforming the school grounds into a canvas of creativity and flavours.

The air was thick with the aroma of culinary experiments and the dazzling colours of rangoli masterpieces. It was a feast for the senses as parents and students seamlessly blended tradition with innovation.

In a heartwarming gesture, the school's management acknowledged the invaluable contribution of parents by presenting them mementos. These tokens of appreciation symbolised more than just recognition; they were a tribute to the collaborative spirit that defines the school community.

The grand finale came with the announcement of competition results, an electrifying moment that brought cheers, applause and a sprinkle of friendly rivalry. The winners basked in the glory of their creative prowess and the event concluded with a sense of fulfilment and joy, leaving indelible imprints of Pongal fervour in our school's collective memory.

PITHROU MITHRA [21-12-2023]

In a dazzling spectacle of educational exuberance, the kindergarten of the Vidyalaya orchestrated a resplendent event. The metaphorical completion of a triangle, with each side representing these integral components, served as a powerful visual metaphor for the holistic nurturing of the tiny tots. Under the banner of "Pithrou Mithra," a poetic phrase echoing the sentiment that parents are indeed friends, the event unfolded into a mesmerising display of vibrant characters.The stage came alive with a kaleidoscope of characters, including the radiant sun parent and sunflower student, the industrious student bee and nurturing parent flower and the transformative student caterpillar and majestic mother butterfly. Each vignette told a story of interconnectedness, portraying the parental figure not merely as a guide but as a cherished friend in the journey of their child's evolution. The entire spectacle was a feast for the senses, an opulent tapestry of colours, emotions, and symbolic resonance.
In essence, the event not only entertained but also served as a poignant reminder of the impact parents wield as steadfast friends, offering unwavering support and love in the children's lives. It was, without a doubt, an event where the spirit of familial camaraderie was not just observed but flamboyantly celebrated in all its glory. It was a mesmerising event that vividly painted the essence of our educational community—a canvas adorned with strokes of support, growth and connections, making it an unforgettable masterpiece.

VAIKUNTA EKADASHI - [23-12-2023]

The school orchestrated a jubilant celebration of Vaikunta Ekadashi, infusing the day with an aura of grandiosity and fervour. Commencing with school prayer, the atmosphere was imbued with a profound sense of devotion. The mellifluous rendition of Vishnu Sahasranamam by both students and teachers further elevated the spiritual resonance of the occasion.
Students from classes 6 and 7 took the stage to enlighten everyone about the significance of fasting on Vaikunta Ekadashi and narrated the traditional story associated with this auspicious day.
The teachers emphasised the importance of the 12 Alwars, while underscoring the distinctive essence of the Margazhi month and the Brahma Muhurtham. The zenith of the celebration witnessed a regal procession, as students carried a palanquin bearing the divine presence of Mahavishnu through the ceremonial unlocking of the celestial gates.
The room reverberated with the chant of Mahavishnu, creating a spiritual and festive atmosphere. This celebration reaffirms that our school is not merely a space for academic endeavours but a dynamic hub that nurtures holistic education, embracing cultural diversity and spiritual understanding.

KARTHIGAI DEEPAM [24.11.2023]

The Karthigai Deepam celebration held at the school on Friday, 24th November was a poignant manifestation of the vidyalaya's commitment to nurture young minds and guiding them toward their aspirations. Symbolizing the transformative power of knowledge that dispels ignorance, akin to light dispelling darkness, the lighting of lamps created a visually stunning and metaphorically powerful spectacle. The participation of parents, teachers, and students in this ceremony added a collective touch, fostering a sense of shared purpose and familial support. As the campus glowed with the warm light of the lamps, it underscored the profound impact of education in illuminating minds. This event not only strengthened the school community but also left an indelible mark on everyone, reinforcing the enduring power of knowledge in shaping a brighter future for our students.

SANKRITI PRADARSHINI [12.10.2023]

Sandipani Vidyalaya organized a delightful event for kindergarten students, titled "Sankriti Pradarshini: Dress Up Show", as a part of Navaratri celebration. This event was a unique and enriching experience which portrayed India’s cultural diversity.
The event began with a serene prayer song. PreKG students then took the stage in their creative avatars, adorned as dolls from various Indian states. The colourful array included Kondapalli dolls from Andhra Pradesh, Natungram dolls from West Bengal, and the exquisite Laiphabidi dolls from Manipur. This showcased the intricate artistry of these regions.
The LKG students embraced the theme of a "Prince’s Birthday Party”, which brought a touch of grandeur to the event. The students creatively represented Marapachi dolls from Karnataka and Punjabi handmade dolls. These representations reflected the rich traditions and artistic finesse of each region, which not only entertained but also educated the audience about the cultural heritage of these states.
The UKG students continued the cultural journey, featuring dolls from Rajasthan, Kathputli dolls, dolls from Kerala and Tamil Nadu, specifically Tanjore dolls, chola dolls which depicted the traditional art form and rich culture.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of all those involved in making this event a grand success. The students were arranged on padi that resembled the traditional artisan- crafted Golu dolls, creating a visual treat for the audience. This served as a reminder of the unity that underlies India's diversity.
The "Sankriti Pradarshini: Dress Up Show" was not just a celebration of Navaratri; it was a vibrant celebration of India's cultural heritage.

World Mental Health Day [10.10.2023]

On World Mental Health Day, a series of exciting activities grabbed the attention of everyone at school.
Students were encouraged to express their happiness by drawings or writing messages about the things that brought them joy. Additionally, a collective display featured charts adorned with handprints from all the students, teachers, and the management symbolizing unity in promoting mental well-being.
Videos featuring the non-teaching staff were recorded and played, conveying the theme for the year 2023 "Mental Health is Our Human Right." In the second activity, students shared their affection by writing or drawing about their favourite aspects of their parents, creating a heartwarming tribute. Adding to the day's magic, parents surprised their children by posting their reflections on their child's letters, further deepening the bond between the parent and the child.
Teachers were provided with invaluable insights and guidance on the importance of mental health awareness. The workshop placed special emphasis on the practice of self-care as a powerful tool to combat mental fatigue and promote emotional well-being. The Vidyalaya also aimed to emphasize the importance of taking care of one's mental health, not only for students but also for the educators who play a vital role in shaping young minds.
The event wrapped up with Anbe Sivam awards where, teachers expressed their deep appreciation for one another and the school's management by crafting heartfelt messages. These earnest messages were then presented as memorable momentos to their fellow educators and the management. These gestures of gratitude nurtured a sense of unity and appreciation among the staff of the school.
The event on was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding of mental well- being and promoting a culture of care and support within the school community. Through a series of heartfelt activities, recognition and workshops, the day left a lasting impact on both students and teachers alike. It highlighted the theme of the day that is mental health as a fundamental human right.

SWACHH BHARAT [02.10.2023]

On October 2, 2023, Sandipani Vidyalaya organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan event for students from KG-7. The initiative aimed to instil a culture of cleanliness and well-being. Students enthusiastically participated in a cleanliness drive, cleaning their homes, school campus and nearby areas. Additionally, the school conducted awareness sessions on cleanliness and hygiene. As part of the holistic approach, yoga and mindfulness were also advocated for, promoting the cleansing of both the body and mind. This event fostered a sense of responsibility among students and contributed to the overall well-being of the school community.

Field Trip [29.09.2023]

The students from grades 1 to 7 embarked on a journey of ingenuity and inspiration during our field trip to Vivekananda House. Arriving in four buses, we witnessed a mesmerizing 3D show that delved into the profound and thought-provoking topic of "life after death", Nachiketh story from Kata Upanishad. We also had the privilege of a remarkable VR experience showcasing Swami Vivekananda's historic speech. The art gallery offered a glimpse into his legacy through an array of paintings and artifacts, and the highlight was our time spent meditating in the very room where Swami Vivekananda once found solace and enlightenment. This trip was a profound educational and spiritual experience for all, leaving an indelible mark in our hearts and minds.

HINDI DIWAS [14-09-2023]

Hindi Diwas celebration was a vibrant event filled with patriotism and cultural performances. The day began with a soulful prayer song by our school choir, setting the tone for the festivities. Our school's cultural secretary extended a gracious welcome to our distinguished guests, Principal Smt. Bhuvana Shankar and our esteemed Academic Advisor, Dr. Uma Sivaraman. Shrinika Krishnan, a student of standard VII, delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of Hindi Diwas. The dance performance by students of classes II, III, and IV, with the theme "हम हैं हिन्दुस्तानी, दिल है हिन्दुस्तानी," was truly captivating. Luckshitha Bafna, a third-grade student, touched hearts with her poem about "माँ." Stepping into the spotlight, Boys from classes 6 and 7 delivered an electrifying and powerful performance through the song "चक दे इंडिया," infusing the event with boundless energy and spirit. Harita, a student of grade 5, elegantly conveyed her message through an essay titled "वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम," reminding us of our interconnectedness as a global family. The audience was spellbound by the performance of girls from classes 5 to 7 as they danced to "देश रंगीला," gracefully forming and showcasing our national flag with their vibrant dupattas. Our Academic Advisor, Dr. Uma Sivaraman, delivered a motivational speech that ignited the flames of inspiration among our students. The winners received certificates from the Principal and the Academic Advisor as a recognition of the students’ achievements. The event culminated with a heartfelt expression of gratitude through a Sanskrit song, 'धन्यवादा.' The celebration wrapped up with a resonating National Anthem.

Vinayaka Chathurthi [13-09-2023]

Vinayaka Chathurthi celebrations at our school was a vibrant spectacle this year. Our little ones kicked off the festivities with an enthusiastic rendition of "Pillayar Pillaiyar," welcoming Lord Ganesha with pure joy and devotion. Adding to the charm of the celebration, the students of Class 1 showcased their artistic talents by crafting Ganesha idols out of maida, demonstrating their creativity and innovation to making this celebration extraordinary. To honor the Lord, a beautifully adorned palanquin carried Ganesha through a procession to different classes. The students in each classroom were captivated by the tiny tots' portrayal of this beloved deity. As a token of appreciation for their dedication, the children were presented with glittery umbrellas to adorn their own Ganesha idols at home. The celebration wouldn't be complete without the distribution of delicious prasadams, spreading divine blessings and sweet tastes among all. Our principal took part in the joyous atmosphere, applauding the children's remarkable efforts, and truly relishing every moment of this heartwarming occasion.

சாஸ்த்ரா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் சென்னை வளாகத்தில் சாந்திபனி வித்யாலயா பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் பாரதியார் நினைவுநாள் விழாவினை சிறப்பாகக் கொண்டாடினர். தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்துடன் விழா தொடங்கியது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து மழலையர் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் பாரதியார் வேடமிட்டு வர பாரதியாரின் ஓடி விளையாடு பாப்பா பாடலை மாணவர்கள் பாடினர். அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து பாரதர் நெஞ்சில் பாரதி என்ற கவிதையை பள்ளி மாணவர் தலைவர் கோபால் குமார் வாசித்தார். பாரதி பாடல்களில் விஞ்சி நிற்கும் தேச பக்திப் பற்றி ஶ்ரீநிகாவும், தெய்வ பக்தி பற்றி ஶ்ரீஜனியும் பேசினர். பாரதி பாடல்களில் எனக்குப் பிடித்தது ஏன் பிடித்தது? என்ற பாடலை ஐந்தாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் பாடினர். விழாவின் இறுதி நிகழ்வாக ஒளி படைத்த கண்ணினாய் என்ற பாடலைப் பாடியபடி பள்ளியை மாணவர்கள் ஊர்வலமாகச் சுற்றி வந்தனர். பாருக்குள்ளே நல்ல நாடு பாடலை பள்ளி இசைக்குழு பாட விழா இனிதே நிறைவடைந்தது

TEACHERS' DAY Celebration [05-09-2023]

The Teacher's Day celebration at Sandipani was a graceful tribute to our beloved educators. The school hosted a vibrant celebration filled with enthusiasm and talent. Various competitions, including Paper Presentation, Book Review, Teaching at Sandipani, Debate, Solo Singing, Rangoli, Treasure Hunt and Kitchen Warriors, showcased the remarkable skills of our dedicated teachers. The event began with a harmonious song sung by our teachers, setting a heartwarming tone for the day. This was followed by a lively dance performance where teachers danced to a medley of tunes enhancing joyous atmosphere. As a token of appreciation, prizes were distributed to the teachers. The day reached its pinnacle with a visual treat, a dance performance by a group of students making the day truly special.

Sri Krishna Jayanthi [04-09-2023]

The Krishna jayanthi celebration took off with whim and vigour. The kindergarten children, dressed as Krishna and Gopikas, added serenity to the event. The activity room was decorated with vibrant festoons. A soulful bhajan dedicated to Lord Krishna echoed through the room, filling the hearts of all with devotion. The children's dance performance further heightened the festive spirit, leaving everyone enthralled. As part of the curriculum activity, the children received return gifts like crowns, flutes, and photo frames, adding to their excitement. This celebration was truly a delightful feast for both the eyes and ears, creating cherishing memories.

LIVE STREAMING: CHANDRAYAAN 3 - SOFT LANDING

Amid an atmosphere brimming with anticipation and inspiration, the SASTRA University and the School played host to a mesmerizing live streaming event centered around Chandrayaan 3. The event commenced with an invocation song. The students took center stage as they delivered a song, thoughtfully crafted by Tamil ma'am in four languages and harmoniously composed by music ma'am, epitomizing the efforts by the ISRO scientists that resonated with the audience. The intellectual vigour of students across classes 1 to 7 took flight through a captivating talk show, where they skillfully discussed Chandrayaan 3's mission. Amidst palpable excitement, the live streaming of Chandrayaan 3's odyssey captivated the audience, offering them a ringside view of this momentous space exploration. As news broke of the spacecraft's triumphant soft landing, a wave of jubilation swept through the auditorium—everybody rejoiced—unifying the gathering in a heartfelt celebration of India's scientific accomplishments and the limitless horizons of exploration.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION [15-08-2023]

Sandipani Vidyalaya in association Sastra University, Chennai Campus experienced the joy of Amrit Kaal in the 77th Independence Day celebration. The progamme commenced with the invocation song by the school choir. The school captain welcomed the gathering with welcome speech. The Vice Chancellor of Sastra University, Dr. Vaidhyasubramaniam Sethuraman, hoisted the flag followed by which the students of the Vidyalaya with patriotic fervour vocalized the Indian Pledge. The Students of the university rendered a medley of patriotic songs. The pupils of classes 1-7 presented a talk show on Chandrayaan 3.0 and made a working model of Vikram Lander. The students of classes 6 and 7 replicated the model of Chandrayaan 3.0. Dr. Vaidhyasubramaniam Sethuraman, the Vice Chancellor of Sastra University, addressed the gathering with his thought-provoking speech on Amrit Kaal. In his speech, he explained the meaning of Bharat where ‘Bha’, ‘Ra’ and ‘Th’ stands for Bhavam, Ragam and Thalam respectively. He, also engraved in the young minds that building nation should be their part and parcel of the life. The speaker emphasized that the growth of students goes hand in hand with the growth of the nation. A treat to the ears was rendered by the students of classes 1,2 and 3 with the patriotic song. The pupils of class 5 delivered speech on Unsung Heroes. A patriotic and vivacious dance was performed by the students of classes 3-7. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by the cultural secretary of the school. With the blessings of the Almighty, the event was a grand success.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET [12-08-2023]

An inspirational song by Mahakavi Bharathiyar stands out when we think of sports. The Management, staff, students and parents of Sandipani Vidyalaya showcased their sportsmanship on the first Annual Sports Meet. The day began with the God of Honour for the Chief Guest followed by an invocation song by SV choir. The Principal addressed the august audience with welcome speech. The houses of Sandipani Vidyalaya (Aravalli, Sahyadri, Satpura, Vindhya and Spoorthi) marched with pomp and vigour signifying courage, energy, discipline, fertility and enthusiasm. The first ever Olympic torch was lit by the Chief Guest. The athletic champions of the school carried the torch relay as a symbol of hope and team spirit followed by which the chief guest declared the sports meet open. The students of classes 1, 2 and Upper KG mesmerized the audience with their whirl drill and fly craft respectively. The finals for the track events were conducted with true spirit of zeal. To cherish the golden school memories, events such as Fire in the Mountain and Lucky corner games were conducted for the parents. In tune with the theme Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the students of class 4 performed Chandrasana as a tribute to the Chandrayaan 3.0 mission and ISRO scientists. The students of class 5 made a human pyramid and the students of classes 6 and 7, performed aerobics, cycle stunts and martial arts of Tamil Nadu such as Silambam and Adimurai. All these students made a formation portraying the theme Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. The Chief Guest Commandant. (JD) Pranav Kumar Iyer addressed the gathering and shared his experience and inspired everyone with his speech. Later, the Chief Guest, the Principal and the Academic Advisor distributed the prizes. The Academic advisor addressed the audience and spoke about the importance of sports and team spirit. The Sports Secretary, Sports Joint Secretary, Captain and Vice-Captain of the school handed over the School Flag to the Principal after the retreat. The day concluded with Vote of Thanks. The first annual meet was a grand success that brought together students, teachers, and parents to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship. It was a platform for students to portray their talents and compete with their peers. The event not only promoted physical activity but also taught the values of discipline, perseverance and hard work. The first annual sports meet was a memorable experience which will always be cherished.

VRIKSHA VANDANAM - [01-08-2023]

The school celebrated Vriskha Vandanam with an objective of extolling the significance and importance of trees in our lives.
The students from each class put up an exhibit on the Sthala Vriksham (a sapling pertaining to different places of worship).
Each class was allotted a topic:
KG: Plant and Plant products,
Class 1: Germination of seeds,
Class 2: Climbers and Creepers,
Class 3: Shrubs, trees and plants,
Class 4: இயற்கை உணவு,
Class 5: இயற்கை மருத்துவம்,
Class 6: Compost and Organic farming and Class 7: Botanical aspects of Plant Kingdom based on which models, charts, talkshow, group discussion, role play, PPTs, music and dance were put out.

On the 23 rd of June 2023, the four clubs and the school teams were inaugurated by the Principal, Mrs. Bhuvana Shankar. The inauguration started with prayer.
The principal encouraged our beloved students to participate in the club activities through her motivational thought.
The clubs in charge oriented the students on the skills imparted in their respective club. The students exhibited a great level of enthusiasm.
The session ended with National Anthem.

WORKSHOP ON PERSONAL HYGIENE - [23-06-2023]

On the 23 rd of June 2023, a workshop on personal hygiene was conducted for the classes 6 and 7 by the eminent doctors, K. Anand and Chandra Gandhimati. Dr. K Anand addressed the boys and Chandra Gandhimati addressed the girls. The doctors emphasized on the importance of the cleanliness of their body and menstrual hygiene. The points discussed were crisp and student friendly. The workshop concluded in appreciating the doctors with a token of gratitude.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY - [21-06-2023]

YOGA IS A JOURNEY OF THE SELF,THROUGH THE SELF TO THE SELF.

The 9th International day of yoga was celebrated in a grand manner in the school.It was a significant event promoting physical and mental well-being. The school administration, along with dedicated teachers and enthusiastic students orchestrated a remarkable celebration on this special occasion. The celebrations commenced with our Principal delivering an inspiring speech, emphasizing on the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Following the speech, our Yoga instructor took center stage, guiding the students through a series of yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). The students of various age groups and classes participated eagerly, displaying their enthusiasm and commitment to the practice. The instructor's expert guidance ensured that everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners, could actively engage in the session.

The yoga session was accompanied by soothing instrumental music, adding an element of serenity to the environment. The synchronized movements and deep breath created a sense of unity and harmony among the participants, fostering a feeling of collective well-being.

On the 21st of June 2023, Sandipani Vidyalaya celebrated the world music day. Smt. Srimathi Sundaram was the Guest of Honour. The Music teacher of our school conducted a workshop for students on the song, Maithreem Bajatha to create world peace and to inculcate the value of oneness. The students of classes 3 and above performed a tableau. The children presented the tableau of the trinity of Carnatic music dressed up as Saint Thyagaraja, Muthuswamy Deekshithar & Shyamasastrikal. Also the doyen of Rabindra Sangeeth, Rabindranath Tagore and the famous yesteryears musicians of India, who are the backbone of today's music were also brought to limelight dressed up as Saint Tukaram,Saint Purandaradasar, Saint Mirabai. The contributions of Saivakuravar Naalvar, Karaikal Ammaiyaar, Kodhai Andal and Periyazhvar were also brought out to display which collectively was a big learning experience for the performers and little audience too.
